welcome to deadpan exotics
Captive-bred exotics. Straight talk. Animal-first.
We’re a small, family-run exotics shop based in Jamestown, North Dakota, focused on non-venomous reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates with an especially soft spot for tarantulas and snakes. We believe in clear information, safe shipping, and doing right by the animals every single time.

our story…
Deadpan Exotics started the same way most great obsessions do: one enclosure, then five, then an entire wall. We got serious about husbandry, quarantine, and sourcing, and turned that passion into a shop that treats animals like living, breathing responsibilities, not SKUs. If you value accurate guidance, ethical sourcing, and no-nonsense policies, you're our kind of keeper.
What we stand for (5 promises)
- Animal-first decisions. If weather looks sketchy, we hold. If extra time is safer, we wait.
- Captive-bred priority. We favor captive-bred stock when available and label origin honestly.
- Straight talk. No hype, no mystery boxes, no pressure sales. If a species isn't a fit, we'll say so.
- Clean paperwork. Clear invoices, clear policies, clear claim steps.
- Lifetime basic support. Questions after the sale? Email us—we're here for the whole journey.
